Read this article to know some important tips that can help you prepare for the UGC NET exam in just 30 days.
- Know about the exam pattern
- Read the whole syllabus thoroughly
- Candidates should read the entire syllabus at least once.
- In both papers, I and II, examine which sections seem simple and difficult to assign your time accordingly.
- Allocate your time properly
- Since you only have about 30 days to study for the exam, it’s important to divide your time to ensure that you have ample preparation time, revision time, and time to solve previous year’s papers and mock exams.
- Refer effective books
- Any one of the books mentioned here can be bought: Trueman/Arihant Experts/KVS Madaan/Upkar.
- In addition to these books, you can also refer in detail to post-graduation action books covering the main topics (relevant to Paper-II).
- Aside from books, YouTube videos can be used to learn more about a particular subject.
- Make short notes while preparing from the books and videos. This will save your revision time one-day before the exam.
- Solve previous year questions papers
- Atleast five articles should be solved. The analysis of solved papers is highly significant.
- This analysis can help students identify their weak areas, but it will also help them discover the most asked questions/topics in the examination.
- Attempt mock tests
- The UGC NET exam will be conducted online. So, consider taking as many mock tests as you can do online.
- These tests will introduce students to the real examination mode and help them get familiar with the exam pattern.
- At least 10-12 mock tests should be taken up.
- You should try this test during the last 10 days of preparation. (1-2 daily test)
- Revise the notes
