  • Subject 1 and 2 of Paper 1 are the same for all candidates.
  • A candidate must choose one of the following subjects for Subject 3: Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical.
  • In both paper 1 and 2 of General Engineering, candidates will be required to attempt only the part according to the option given in the application form.
  • For each incorrect answer in Paper 1, a 0.25 mark will be deducted as negative marks. 
  • The second paper will be descriptive and conducted via pen and paper mode.
  • In Paper 2, candidates must choose from Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical as their subjects.
  • For Paper 2, a candidate can carry his or her own slide rule, calculator, log table, and steam table.
  • There will be no negative marking in Paper 2.
