SEBI Grade A Notification 2020-21 – On 18th March 2021, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) announced the results of the SEBI Grade A 2020-21 Phase-2 Exam on its official website @sebi.gov.in. The phase-2 online exam took place on February 27, 2021, and the results will be available shortly.

Educational Qualification

Age Limit For SEBI Grade A Officer

 

As of 29th February 2020, a candidate must not have reached the age of 30, i.e., the candidate must have been born on or after 1st March 1990.

 

Age relaxation will be granted in accordance with government regulations.

How To Apply For SEBI Grade A 2020-21?

Step 1: To get started, click on this link.

Step 2: On the page, click the Apply button. In a new window, a registration link will appear.

Step 3: In the application window, choose New Registration. After that, press the register button.

Step 4: Candidates must include personal information such as their name, parents’ names, date of birth, email address, and phone number.

Step 5: To complete the online registration, click the submit button. A Registration ID will be given to each candidate. Then, using the given Registration ID, date of birth, and password, complete the SEBI Grade A 2020-21 registration process.

Phase 6: After that, you must provide your photograph, signature, left thumb impression, and handwriting (given below).

 

“I,               (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true, and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”

 

Please note: The size of the file should be between 10kb-20kb for left thumb impression and signature. For handwriting declaration, file size should be 20kb to 50kb. 

 

Step 7: After completing the application form, candidates must preview it once to ensure that all of the information entered is correct.

Step 8: After reviewing the entire online application form, click the Final Submit button.

SEBI Grade A Officer Selection Process

As discussed below, the selection process will be divided into three phases.

 

Phase I: an online screening test consisting of two 100-mark papers

Phase II: an online examination consisting of two 100-marks papers

Phase III: Interview 

 

The final selection of candidates will be based on the candidate’s performance in Phase II and the interview.

The online examination will consist of two 100-marks papers.  On 4th July 2020, the SEBI Grade A Online Exam for Phase I will be held. The Phase-I pattern is explained below.

Marking Scheme For SEBI Grade A Officer Recruitment Phase I

  • In Phase I, negative marking (1/4th of the marks assigned to the question) will be there for Paper 1 and Paper 2.
  • The marks earned in Phase I will only be used to shortlist candidates for the Phase II examination process and will not be used to determine the candidates’ final selection.

There will be two 100 marks papers in SEBI Grade A Phase II.  On 23rd August 2020, the SEBI Grade A Phase II Exam will be held. The Phase-II pattern is discussed below.

Marking Scheme For SEBI Grade A Officer Recruitment Phase II

 

  • For Paper 2 in Phase II, there will be negative marking (1/4th of the marks assigned to the question) (except IT stream for which details shall be informed in due course).

 

  • To be shortlisted for Phase III, candidates must achieve separate cut-offs in each paper as stated in (iv) above, as well as an aggregate cut-off mark of 40% in the Phase II exam (weightage of 1/3rd for Paper 1 and 2/3rd for Paper 2).

Interview

Candidates who pass all Phases I and II will be invited to the interview. The candidate has the choice of giving the interview in Hindi or English.  Marks obtained in Phase II will be given an 85 % weighting, while marks obtained in the interview will be given a 15% weighting. The final decision will be based on Phase II and the interview.

 

Salary For SEBI Grade A

The pay scale of SEBI Grade A manager is Rs 28150-1550(4)-343501750(7)-46600-EB-1750(4)-53600- 2000(1)-55600 (17 years).

SEBI Grade A In Hand Salary 

The minimum salary on this scale is approximately Rs 1,07,000/- per month without accommodation and Rs 73,000/- per month with accommodation.
