SBI Syllabus 2021 – SBI PO, SO & Clerk Syllabus

Read this article to know the SBI syllabus of the different examinations conducted by the State Bank of India (SBI) every year. 

 

Every year, the SBI conducts examinations for the following positions: 

 

  1. Probationary Officer (PO)
  2. Clerk
  3. Specialist Officer (SO)

SBI PO Syllabus 2021

SBI PO syllabus is different for all the different phases of the examination. Here are the phases of the SBI PO exam – 

 

  • Preliminary examination (Prelims)
  • Mains examination
  • Group discussion and interview

 

The SBI PO Prelims exam includes the following subjects – 

 

  1. Quantitative Aptitude
  2. Reasoning Ability
  3. English Language

 

The SBI PO Mains examination is divided into 2 parts: Objective and Descriptive. The Objective part consists of the following subjects : 

 

  1. Data Analysis & Interpretation
  2. Reasoning Ability
  3. General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness
  4. English Language

 

And, the descriptive part comprises essay writing and letter writing. 

SBI Clerk Syllabus 2021

Alike the SBI PO syllabus, the SBI Clerk syllabus is also divided according to the phases of the examination. There are 2 phases of the SBI Clerk exam – 

 

  1. SBI Clerk Prelims Examination
  2. SBI Clerk Mains Examination

 

SBI Clerk Prelims syllabus includes the following subjects – 

 

  1. Quantitative Aptitude
  2. Reasoning Ability
  3. English Language

 

And, here are the subjects included in the syllabus of the SBI Clerk Mains examination. 

 

  1. General/Financial Awareness
  2. Quantitative Aptitude
  3. Reasoning Ability
  4. General English

SBI SO Syllabus 2021

The SBI SO exam is used to recruit Specialist Officers for a range of positions (both regular and contractual), like –

 

  • Engineers
  • Architects / Product Head
  • Assistant Managers
  • Relationship Managers & Officers
  • Research Analyst
  • Test Lead

 

The SBI SO syllabus is divided into 2 papers according to the exam pattern. 

 

Paper I consists of the following subjects – 

 

  1. Reasoning Ability
  2. English Language
  3. Quantitative Aptitude

 

Paper 2 includes a professional knowledge section depending on the post that the candidate has opted. Here are some of the topics under this paper.

 

  • Object-oriented Programming
  • Compiler Design
  • Data Structure
  • Software Engineering
  • Chartered Accounting
  • Data Communication and Networking
  • Law & Statistics
  • Operating System
  • Database Management System
