What is the SBI SO exam?

The State Bank of India conducts the SBI SO exam to recruit officers in various specialised categories. SBI is accepting applications for specialist officer (SO) positions in various offices. 
 
Commonly the recruitment is conducted for managerial posts. But, notifications are also being released for senior-level recruitment. Recruitment is currently underway for a number of positions. In most cases, recruitment is completed in two phases: an online test and a personal interview; however, in some cases, shortlisting of candidates is followed by a personal interview.

Deputy Manager (Internal Audit) Chartered Accountancy (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India with a minimum of 1 year post qualification experience in/with a Chartered Accountant firm engaged in statutory/Internal/Concurrent Audit of Banks
Network Specialist First Division (minimum 60% marks) in Master’s Degree (full time) in any stream from any recognised University along with compulsory certification from listed institutions 
Security Analyst BE/BTech (in Computer Science & Engineering/ Computer Science/Information Technology/Electronics & Communications) OR MCA/MSc (Computer Science)/MSc(IT) from recognised university
Manager of Credit Procedure MBA or equivalent/ PGDM/ PGDBA/CA/CFA/FRM with a minimum of 6 years of experience of which post-qualification experience 
Marketing Manager MBA/ PGDBM  with specialisation in Marketing/ Finance from Institutes recognized / approved by Govt. bodies/ AICTE/ UGC. Course completed through correspondence/part-time will not be eligible. Minimum 5 years post qualification experience

SBI SO Selection Procedure

  • An online exam and a personal interview are part of the selection process.
  • The pattern for the online exam is as follows:

  • Except for the English section, the question will be presented in both Hindi and English.
  • The remaining sections, except for the technical knowledge section, will be of qualifying nature. Candidates must achieve minimum qualifying marks in these papers, as defined by the exam body.

 

SBI SO Salary

Finally, selected candidates will be paid a salary ranging from Rs 42,020 to Rs 51,490, including DA, HRA, CCA, PF, Contributory Pension Fund, LFC, Medical Facility other benefits as per the prescribed format.
