The syllabus of RBI Grade B is equivalent to the syllabus of various other bank exams. The Grade B Officer exam is conducted in two stages, and the Reserve Bank of India determines the syllabus for both.
 
There are four parts of the RBI Grade B syllabus for Phase-I: Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness and English language. Three areas of the Phase-II exam includes economic and social sciences, English and finance and management.
 
The Reserve Bank of India is the country’s central bank, and candidates are looking forward to RBI recruitment for all bank exams. The RBI Grade B Officer syllabus is vast, and the number of candidates applying for the exam each year is also high. Hence, candidates need to note that they prepare themselves well enough to qualify for the exam on the first attempt.

RBI Grade B Exam Pattern

RBI Grade B examination is conducted in the following stages: 
 

  1. Phase-I Exam 
  2. Phase-II Exam 
  3. Interview

 

The examination pattern of RBI Grade B consists of two stages, followed by an interview stage. The candidate’s answers are also very different, as there are only objective questions in Phase-I. Phase-II, by comparison, requires candidates to write explanatory answers. Let’s take a look at the exam pattern for each of these stages. 
 
Moreover, RBI conducts exam for Assistants at RBI. But, the RBI Grade B officer exam is more difficult to qualify.

The English Language RBI Grade B Officer syllabus is a descriptive exam. This exam is conducted at regular intervals, and candidates can solve previous year papers regarding the type of questions asked in the Grade B exam for this paper.

When is the RBI Grade B exam 2021 scheduled to be conducted?

On 25th January 2021, the RBI Grade B recruitment notification was issued. The Phase I exam is scheduled to take place on 6th March 2021, and the Phase II exam is scheduled for 31st March and 1st April 2021.
 

Is the job in RBI is considered a government job?

No, an RBI job does not fall under the purview of the state or central government. Banks fall under the public sector, and no gazetted rank is appointed to RBI officers.
 

What is the eligibility criteria for the RBI Grade B officer exam?

  • The candidate must be an Indian citizen 
  • The candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not be more than 30 years
  • The candidate appearing for the exam should have a graduate degree in any stream for the generalist cadre.  And, for the specialist category, the candidate should have the desired degree from their particular specialisations
