Note 1 : The Ranked list published shall cease to be in force after one year from the date of finalization of the ranked list. Candidates will be advised from the said list against the vacancies listed above and that may be reported to the Commission in writing during the period of currency of the ranked list.
Note 2: In the case of difference in original caste/community claimed in the application and that entered in SSLC book, the candidate shall produce a gazette notification in this regard, along with Non creamy layer certificate/Community Certificate at the time of certificate verification.

6. Age limit

18-26; only candidates born between 02.01.1995 and 01.01.2003 (Both dates included) are eligible to apply for the post with usual age relaxation to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Communities.

In the case of Ex-servicemen, the maximum age limit will be 41 (Forty One) years. (Condition regarding other age relaxation in Para 2 of the General Conditions are not applicable to this selection).

7. Qualifications

(i). Educational :

Pass in SSLC Examination or its equivalent

(ii). Technical:

NTC in Radio/Television/Electronics/Telecommunication/ Electrical Engineering/Computer/Information Technology or equivalent approved by Government of Kerala or equivalent qualification prescribed in respect of Ex-Service personnel.

Note 1: (KS & SSR Part II rule 10 (a) ii is applicable.)
Note 2: Candidates who claim equivalent qualification instead of qualification mentioned in the notification shall produce the relevant government order to prove the equivalency at the time of verification, then only such qualification shall be treated as equivalent to the prescribed qualification concerned.

(iii) Physical :

a. Height : 167 cms

b. Chest: 81cms with a minimum expansion of 5cms.

Note: Minimum height and chest measurements shall be 160 cms and 76 cms respectively for SC/ST candidates. The Minimum chest expansion of 5 cms shall however be applicable to them also.

c. Must be certified to posses the visual standards as specified below (without Glasses)

Note : (1) Each eye must have full field of vision.

(2) Colour blindness, squint or any morbid conditions of the eyes or lids of either eye shall be a disqualification.

(iv) Physical Efficiency Test:

Must qualify in any 5 events out of 8 items specified below of the National Physical Efficiency, one star standard tests with minimum standards noted against each namely.

Note 1: – Male candidates having sound health and free from apparent physical defects like knock-knee, flat foot, Varicose vein, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular and protruding tooth,defective speech and hearing can only apply for the post.

Note 2: – Physical measurement of candidates will be taken at the time of physical efficiency test and those who do not possess the prescribed physical measurement will not be admitted for the physical efficiency test. If accidents or injuries happen to a candidate while participating in the physical efficiency test, he will not be given no further chance to participate in the test.

Note 3: – The candidates should produce at the time of certificate verification physical efficiency test, a Medical Certificate in original in the form of prescribed here under, certifying to their physical fitness and eye sight without glasses. The Medical Certificate should be one obtained from a Medical Officer under the Government not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon/ Junior Consultant.

Note: Details regarding standards of vision should be clearly stated in the Certificate as given above and vague statements such as Vision ‘Normal/Good’ will not be accepted. Specification of each eye should be stated separately against each item. If the specifications are not as indicated above, the officer issuing the Certificate should certify whether the candidate has got better standards of vision or worse standards of vision, as the case may be, otherwise the Certificate will not be accepted.

8.Training:-

(1)Every candidate selected for appointment as Police Constable (Tele Communication) shall undergo 9 months of normal police training. During the period of training the selected candidates shall undergo technical training in operation maintenance and repairs of telecommunication equipment.

(2) During the period of training the selected candidates shall be paid stipend equal to the minimum of the scale of pay of Police Constable (Tele Communication). The period of training shall not be counted for probation or increment.

9. Probation:-.

Every person appointed to the category shall from the date on which he joins duty after successful completion of training be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of 3 years.

10. Bond:-

Before joining duty such candidates shall execute a bond of Rs.5,000/- to the effect that he shall serve the department for a minimum period of 5 years.

11.Mode of submitting application:-

Candidates must register as per ONE TIME REGISTRATION with the official Website of Kerala Public Service Commission http://www.keralapsc.gov.in before applying for the post. Candidates who have registered can apply by logging on to their profile using their User- ID and Password. Candidates must click on the ‘Apply Now’ button of the respective posts in the Notification Link to apply for a post. The Photograph uploaded should be taken after 31.12.2010. Name of the candidate and the date of photograph taken should be printed legibly at the bottom portion. The photograph once uploaded meeting all requirements shall be valid for 10 years from the date of uploading. There is no change in other instructions regarding the uploading of photographs. No application fee is required. Candidates are responsible for the correctness of the personal information and secrecy of password. Before the final submission of the application on the profile candidates must ensure correctness of the information in their profile. They must quote the User-ID for further communication with the Commission. Application submitted is provisional and cannot be deleted or altered after submission. Candidates are advised to keep a printout or soft copy of the online application for future reference. Candidates can take the printout of the application by clicking on the link ‘My applications’ in their profile. All correspondences with the Commission, regarding the application should be accompanied with the print out of the application. The application will be summarily rejected if non-compliance with the notification is found in due course

of processing. Original documents to prove qualification, experience, age, Community etc. have to be produced as and when called for.

  1. Appropriate Disciplinary action as per Rules of procedure Rule 22 will be initiated against those candidates who submit applications with bogus claims of qualification regarding education, experience etc and submit confirmation for writing examination irrespective of whether they are present or absent for the examination
  2. Last date for receipt of applications : 08.09.2021 Wednesday upto 12 Midnight.
  3. If Written /OMR /Online Test is conducted as a part of this selection candidate shall submit a confirmation for writing the examination through their One Time Registration Profile. Such candidates alone can generate and download the admission tickets in the last fifteen days till the date of test. The applications of candidate who do not submit confirmation within the stipulated period will be rejected absolutely. The periods regarding the submission of confirmation and the availability of admission tickets will be published in the examination calendar itself. Information in this regard will be given to the candidates in their respective profiles and in the mobile phone number registered in it.
