Here are the eligibility criteria for candidates applying for Kerala PSC Secretariat Assistant exam.
Age – Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and not more than 36 years of age. Candidates belonging to the above groups are provided with relaxation in the upper age group. Relaxation shall not apply if the candidate has converted their religion or holds a degree higher than the required educational requirement for the Assistant Secretariat position.

Educational Qualifications – A graduate degree in any field such as Science, Arts, or Commerce from a registered and recognised university in India.
Nationality – The candidate must be an Indian citizen or a Nepalese or Bhutanese resident. Also, the Tibetans who migrated to India before 1st January 1962, are accepted. Candidates of Indian origin who have migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda and the United Tanzanian Republic are also welcome to apply for the Kerala PSC Secretariat Assistant recruitment exam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Kerala PSC Secretariat Assistant Recruitment Exam is conducted in two phases – Written Exam and Personal Interview.
Written Exam – The written exam can be held in online or offline mode. It includes multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The candidates who score the highest in this exam will be eligible to appear for the personal interview.
Personal Interview – The Commission interviews in order to test the personality, practical knowledge, and other essential soft skills of the selected candidates. The candidates who clear the stage will be recruited according to vacancies’ availability at Secretariat Assistant’s post.

Written Exam – The written exam includes 100 questions, and every question carries 1 mark. There is a provision for negative marking for incorrect answers. ⅓ marks (0.33) will be deducted for a wrong answer.

Interview – There are no separate marks for the interview round. The candidates will be asked questions related to general knowledge, field knowledge, current affairs, etc. The candidate will be judged on their communication skills, personality and presence of mind.
