Kerala PSC HSA Exam: Last Minute Preparation Tips 

High School Assistant (HSA) is the most awaited exam. It is conducted by Kerala PSC. There are a few days remaining for the HSA Exam. It is one of the prestigious jobs. Therefore we need to prepare well in these last days to achieve this. In this article, we are discussing about the last minute preparation techniques and tips. 

Know the syllabus

As with all exams, the syllabus can be considered as the Bible for the Preparation. The Aspirants need to cover mainly four Modules. The first three Module are common for all HSA Exams. They are:

  • Module I- Renaissance and freedom movement
  • Module II- General Knowledge and current affairs
  • Module III- Methodology of teaching the subject

The fourth Module generally deals with that specific subject that is Natural Science, Social Science, Mathematics and English. 

Use of Relevant Study Material 

Since we have only a few days remaining for the exam. We need to be more specific in selecting study materials. The study material that can be used for the last minute preparations are:  

  • SCERT Textbooks from Class 5 to 12
  • NCERT Textbooks from Class 6 to 10
  • Kerala PSC Bulletin: Kerala History 
  • Kerala PSC Bulletin: Indian History 
  • Current Affairs preferably from 2021 January to 2021 December. 
  • Mathrubhumi GK & Current Affairs (Current Affairs consolidation in December and January issue)

Previous Year Question Paper Analysis

For every exam, the previous year question paper analysis is the most important strategy. It will give more details about the trend and patterns of the question asked. Aspirants have to analyse the previous year questions. It will make you more confident. We can make use of the recent exams conducted by Kerala PSC since the question paper pattern has changed a lot. This will give a more detailed picture of the expected question pattern. 

Importance of an Effective Study Plan 

There are only a few days remaining for the exams so we should be ready with an effective study plan. This will make your preparation more structured and organised. Through this study plan, we need to complete all the topics specified in the syllabus. We have to give more time for revision.

  • Prepare an effective study plan and make arrange your preparation more organised and structured.
  • Stick on to the study plan, don’t get diverted. 
  • Keep some slots daily for effective revision in the Study plan.
  • Try to cover all  the study material completely
  • Effectively make use of time remaining, don’t waste time
  • Work out the previous year questions. 
  • Practise  Mock Test and Test Series 
  • Try to get familiarised with the nature of the question paper
  • Make a self analyse and maintain self-correction
  • Don’t be get nervous be confident and Cool
