If you applied for the Kerala Public Service Commission Assistant Professor exam, you would have to go through three stages. To be considered for Assistant Professor in the Kerala Public Service Commission, candidates must pass these stages.

Age Limit
Minimum age limit – 22 years
Maximum age limit – 45 years
For the general category, the age limit for the Assistant Professor position in Kerala PSC is 22 to 45 years. Other categories, such as SC, ST, and OBC, have age relaxations provided by the government.
Educational Qualification
The minimum educational requirements for the position of KPSC Assistant Professor is a master’s degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 55 percent. People from the SC, ST, OBC and differently-abled groups are given a relaxation of a minimum of 50% marks.
Other Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must have passed the UGC’s comprehensive examination or similar state government examinations. Those with a PhD are not required to submit a NET certificate. Candidates who are fluent in Malayalam will be given preference. Candidates for the Assistant Professor position in Pediatric Nephrology must have an MD or DNB in the subject with 3 years of teaching experience.
If candidates have completed a Residency Program during their Postgraduate course time, their postgraduate study period in medical subjects will be considered as a teaching experience for Assistant Professor appointments. In the case of candidates who have completed the Post Graduate course without completing the residency programme, the candidate must present a certificate from the college’s principal stating that the candidate has acquired teaching/clinical work experience during the Post Graduate Course period.
A DNB qualification is required for admission to a medical college recognised by any university in Kerala.
Candidates who claim similar qualifications instead of those mentioned in the notification must present the relevant Government order to prove equivalency at the time of verification. Only that qualification will be considered equivalent to the prescribed qualification in question.
