Only Kerala State Electricity Board Ltd employees are qualified to apply for the 10% vacancies of Assistant Engineer (Electrical). Candidates may apply for the general Civil Engineer role. Kerala PSC Assistant Engineer KSEB Eligibility Criteria
Age limit
Interested candidates should not have completed 50 years of age (Candidates must be born after 2nd Jan 1971)
Educational Qualifications (Electrical)
Electrical Engineering degree of any recognised university or any other qualification recognised as equivalent thereto.
or
Degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering or any other qualifications recognised as equivalent thereto.
Or
AMIE (India) section A & B in Electrical Engineering.
Or
Associate membership Diploma of the Institution of Engineers India in Electrical Engineering or any other Diploma recognised as equivalent thereto.
Educational Qualifications (Civil)
A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification is required.
Or
Associate Membership Diploma in Civil Engineering from the Institute of Engineers India or any other diploma approved by the government as equivalent.
Or
Pass the Associate Membership Examination in Civil Engineering of the Institute of Engineers India in Sections A and B.
Important points to remember
- Applicants must present a Service Certificate in the form below, obtained from the Board, stating that they work for the board regularly as and when necessary.
- Employees who apply for appointment by transfer to Assistant Engineer (Electrical) position under 10% quota must have at least 3 years of service in the Board.
- Candidates who claim an equivalent qualification instead of the one mentioned in the notification must present the relevant Government Order at the time of verification to prove the equivalency. Only that qualification will be considered equivalent to the prescribed qualification.
