What is IBPS SO Exam?
IBPS SO exam is conducted by the Institute of Banking Staff Selection (IBPS) to recruit specialist officers in various public sector banks. It’s one of the most important banking exams of the year, and the IBPS SO exam gives an opportunity to those who wish to work with leading public sector banks.
It is an entrance exam that selects candidates for various positions, including Agriculture Field Officer, Marketing Officer, HR/Personnel Officer, IT Officer, Law Officer, and Rajbhasha Adhikari. Banks release job openings independently, and IBPS holds exams for all banks at the same time. The IBPS SO exam is divided into three stages: prelims, mains, and personal interview.
IBPS SO Eligibility Criteria 2020
There are specified eligibility criteria for the candidates appearing for IBPS SO 2020. Here are those criteria:
Nationality/Citizenship – According to the IBPS SO Notification, a candidate must be an Indian citizen or a Nepalese or Bhutanese subject. Candidates who are Tibetan refugees who arrived in India before 1st January 1962 are also eligible. Many who are Indian by birth but have lived in Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam for a long time are also eligible to take the exam.
Age Limit – The candidates must be between 20 years and 30 years of age as of 1st November 2020.
Educational Qualification – This exam is conducted to recruit candidates for a variety of jobs. As a result, the educational criteria for various positions have been specified separately in the official notification. Here are the educational requirements for the posts.
