The Institute of Banking Staff Selection conducts the IBPS RRB Exam to recruit officers to command India’s Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) and office assistants to assist with various tasks. There are two levels of the recruiting process. The following are the details:
Group A Officers: Scale-I (Assistant Manager), Scale-II (Manager), Scale-III (Senior Manager)
Group B Office Assistants: Multipurpose Office Assistants

- IBPS released the CRP RRB PO IX Interview Call Letter on 10th February 2021. Candidates can get the direct link to download the hall ticket by going to the IBPS RRB Admit Card website.
- IBPS RRB PO Result for the mains examination was released on 8th February 2021.
The official IBPS RRB notification 2020 for the post of Officers Scale I, II, and III and Officer Assistants was issued on 30th June 2020, and the revised notification was released on 22nd October 2020.

IBPS RRB Notification
On 30th June 2020, the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection published a notification for IBPS RRB recruitment 2020, followed by a supplementary notification on 22nd October 2020.
Initially, IBPS reported 9698 vacancies for Officer Scale I, II, III, and Office Assistant positions, which were later revised to 10,493 vacancies.
In 2019, there was an increase in the number of openings released compared to the previous year. IBPS had posted a total of 8850 openings for both Group A Officers and Group B Office Assistants.

IBPS RRB Eligibility
Candidates taking the IBPS RRB Exam this year must be well aware of the eligibility criteria. To be eligible for the exam, a candidate must fulfil these 3 conditions.
- Nationality/Citizenship: Candidates must be Indian, Nepalese, or Bhutanese citizens.
- Education and experience: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university and the required experience as specified by the IBPS.
- Age: The minimum age threshold for Officer Scale I & II is 21 years, and for Officer Scale III and Officer Assistants is 18 years.
IBPS RRB Exam Pattern
The IBPS RRB exam pattern comprises of:
- Prelims Examination
- Mains Examination
- Interview Phase
Note that candidates applying for the position of Office Assistant would not be required to attend an interview. It only applies to Officers Scale I, II, and III positions.
IBPS RRB Syllabus
The IBPS RRB Syllabus covers a wide variety of subjects and topics. The syllabus for Officer Scale-II can differ based on the specialisation. Below are the key topics discussed in the Prelims:
- Logical Reasoning
- Quantitative Aptitude
The entire paper is of 80 marks that need to be finished in 45 minutes.
The following is the IBPS RRB Mains Syllabus:

- Computer Knowledge
The mains exam is for 200 marks and needs to be completed in 120 minutes.
IBPS RRB Apply Online
Candidates must fill out the application form on the official IBPS website to register for the Regional Rural Bank Exam.
Here are the steps to register for IBPS RRB:
- Go to the IBPS official website.
- Register using your phone number and email address.
- Log in with your registration id, which is generated after registering with your phone number and email address.
- Fill in all of the relevant information, such as your name and address.
- Upload all necessary documents, such as photographs and signatures.
- Check the application form before clicking the “submit” button to ensure that all of the information is correct and free of errors.
- To pay the application fee, select a payment option and fill in the necessary information. After that, the registration process is completed.
IBPS RRB Admit Card
At least one week before the exam, the IBPS RRB Admit Card will be available for download on the official IBPS website. To obtain the admit cards, candidates should go to the official website and follow these steps:
- Visit the IBPS website for more information (www.ibps.in).
- Fill in your login details. You have the option of entering it in English or Hindi.
- Fill in the Registration Number you were given when you submitted your application.
- You will then be redirected to a page where you can select “Download Call Letter”.
- Either enter your date of birth in the format prescribed. Alternatively, enter the password you were given at the time of application. And, click on ‘Submit’.
- Post that, your IBPS RRB hall ticket will be displayed on the screen. To avoid any technical difficulties, make sure to download your Call Letter ahead of time.
- You can print your IBPS RRB Admit Card after downloading it and keep it for your future reference.
