EPFO Assistant Apply Online

Candidates can apply for this examination only through online mode. Here are the steps to apply online: 

 

1. Visit EPFO’s official website.
2. Fill in the basic information such as your name, phone number, and email address.
3. Save your provisional identification number and password for future use. If you are unable to complete the application, you can use this registration number and password to log in and complete the registration.
4. After you’ve checked all the entered details, click the “Save & Next” button.
5. Upload your scanned photo, signature, and handwritten declaration according to EPFO’s instructions.
6. Make an online fee payment after you’ve uploaded your details.
7. Submit the form and save a print copy or a PDF file for future reference.

EPFO Assistant Recruitment 2021 Selection Process

Candidates are selected based on their results in 2 phases. 

Phase 1- Preliminary Exam

The EPFO Assistant selection process begins with the Preliminary Exam. To be eligible for the mains exam that is Phase 2 of the selection process, candidates must pass this exam. The preliminary exam marks will not be considered when assessing final merit. For each incorrect answer, 1/4th of a mark will be deducted. It will consist of three tests and will be of one hour and carrying 100 marks. Except for the English Language article, all of the papers will be bilingual.

Phase 2- Main Exam 

Candidates who pass the preliminary exam are qualified to take the Main Exam. This exam will be worth 230 marks and will last 2 hours & 45 minutes. For final selection, the candidate’s performance in the Main Exam will be taken into account. For each incorrect answer,  1/4th of a mark will be deducted. Except for the English Language paper, all the papers will be bilingual.

 

Cut-offs will be applied in 2 stages: 

• On the marks scored in individual tests and
• On the total score

 

When more than one candidate scored the same marks in the Main Exam, the following methods will be used to break the tie (One after another):

 

• Older candidates ranked higher based on their date of birth 
• or in alphabetical order based on the candidate’s name.

EPFO Assistant Eligibility Criteria

EPFO Assistant Recruitment 2021 – Nationality Criteria

The candidate should be:

 

1. An Indian citizen, or
2. Nepalese or Bhutanese Subject, or
3. A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 intending to settle in India permanently, or
4. A Person of Indian origin and Migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam, intending to settle in India permanently.

 

*Note: Candidates in categories (2), (3), and (4) must hold an Eligibility Certificate issued by the Indian government.

 

In this case, the candidate will be permitted to appear in the EPFO Assistant Recruitment examination, but they will not be offered an appointment until they receive an Eligibility Certificate from the Government of India.

The EPFO Assistant Prelims Exam will be conducted online and will be an objective exam. 

 

The EPFO Recruitment Prelims Exam consists of the following sections:

As mentioned above, each test will have separate timing. 

 

• In the Objective tests, incorrect answers would result in negative marks. For each incorrect answer, a 1/4 of the mark assigned to the question will be deducted.
• Based on their results in Phase I, candidates will be shortlisted for Phase II in a ratio of 1:10, or approximately 10 times the number of vacancies in each category.

 

 

EPFO Assistant Mains Exam Pattern

The EPFO Assistant Mains exam will be an online objective test with 150 questions and a total of 200 marks. Each section will be given a time limit; if the time date is exceeded, you will be directed to the next section.

EPFO Assistant Salary Details

Selected candidates would be given a generous package of benefits in addition to a competitive salary. Employees will be paid according to Pay Matrix Level 7. They will be eligible for DA, HRA, and Transport Allowance, and other allowances as determined by the rules in effect at the time.
