What is Canara Bank PO recruitment?

After completing the specially designed Post Graduate Diploma in Banking & Finance (PGDBF) course, candidates are recruited for the post of Probationary Officers in Junior Grade Scale I by the Canara Bank. Candidates can enrol for the Canara Bank PGDBF program at either Manipal Global Education Services Pvt Ltd’s Bengaluru campus or NITTE Education International Pvt Ltd’s Greater Noida campus for a one-year training program.
 
The online objective exam is used to select candidates for admission to the course, followed by a Group Discussion and a Personal Interview. Nationality: 

• Candidates must be Indian citizens, Nepalese or Bhutanese citizens, or Tibetan refugees who arrived in India before 1st January 1962, with the intention of settling. 
• A person of Indian origin who has moved to Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries such as Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam have all expressed an interest in settling permanently in India.
• Candidates from these countries must ensure that they have obtained an eligibility certificate from the Indian government.

Computer Knowledge: 

• Candidates must be able to operate as well as work with computers. Candidates who do not have the knowledge of computers should learn it within six months of starting work at the bank.

Hindi Knowledge: 

• Candidates should be able to speak and write in Hindi.

 
Age limit: 

• Candidates should be between  20 and 30 years of age. Candidates who fall under one of the reserved categories will have their upper age limit relaxed.

 
Educational Qualification:

Canara Bank PO Salary

The selected candidates would be paid a pay scale of Rs 23700 – 980/7 – 30560 – 1145/2 – 32850 – 1310/7 – 42020. They are also eligible for Dearness Allowance, Housing Allowance, Child Care Allowance, Medical Assistance, and Leave Fare Concession, among other benefits. Depending on where they are posted, they will also be provided with conveyance, furniture, and other amenities.

Here’s the complete process of Canara Bank PO Selection: 

1. Filing of application form 

The application form for Canara Bank PO will be available online at the bank’s official website. The exam application fee is Rs 708 for general candidates and Rs 118 for SC/ST/PWBD candidates. 

2. Release of admit card 

Admit cards are released two to three weeks before the exam. Candidates can get their Canara Bank PO admit card by logging in with their registration number, roll number, date of birth, or password.

3. Online exam

Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, and General Knowledge are the four topics covered in the online test. There will be a total of 200 questions in the exam. The exam has a total of 200 marks. Negative marks will be provided for incorrect answers. To pass the exam, candidates must score the sectional and overall cut off points. Candidates in the ratio 1:3 will be called for Group Discussion and Interview, depending on the vacancies.

4. Declaration of results 

Canara Bank PO results will be available online in phases. Candidates will be able to access their results either by login or in PDF format.

5. Group Discussion and Interview

Group Discussion and Interview are worth a total of 50 marks. The exam requires a minimum qualifying score of 40% for general candidates (35 per cent for SC, ST, OBC, and PWBD candidates).

6. Final Selection

For final selection, the online exam, group discussion, and personal interview are weighted 50:20:30, respectively. Canara Bank PGDBF candidates are chosen based on their success in the online exam, group discussion, and personal interview.
